There is nothing quite like homemade and that is especially true if you are able to avoid feeding your family added preservatives and other less desirable ingredients that come with store bought foods. I bet if given the time and money to make everything from scratch most of us would love to have every meal made this way whether we are hiring someone else to do it or attempting to be supermom ourselves.
It doesn’t look like I will be having a personal chef anytime soon but I still want to be able to make at least some of my families meals this way. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work it will take to make everything homemade, I have made things a bit simpler by using the fewest ingredients possible and whipping up these meals as fast as I can. Now even the busiest people can enjoy the flavors of cooking from scratch with this Easy Maple Syrup Recipe.
To make this Easy Maple Syrup Recipe
What you’ll need:
1 Cup water
1 Teaspoon maple extract
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Butter
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Add one cup of water to a small sauce pan and bit ring to a boil.
Stir in both white and brown sugars until well blended.
Add 1 Tablespoon Butter or Margarine if you prefer it but I have always loved the taste of butter so that’s what I use.
Remove from heat and add both extracts being sure to mix well.
Serve & Enjoy
This Maple Syrup will taste great for about a week if kept in your refrigerator. If you prefer warm syrup, just pop it in the microwave before serving.
This syrup is perfect to top waffles, crepes, pancakes, and whatever else you may like syrup on. The possibilities are endless but my favorite recipe to pair with this syrup has to be these delicious Old Fashioned Pancakes.
You can get a syrup dispenser pretty cheap by clicking here but you don’t need one to achieve this great taste. My daughter enjoyed hers in a Ramekin because dunking pancakes in syrup can be just as fun as pouring it on top.
