Pamper Your Pets, They Deserve It

This post is Sponsored post by Lunchbox, all opinions and views are my own, as always.

When I was 14 I got my first dog, Sparky. I had other dogs throughout my life but this was the first time I had a dog that was completely my responsibility, and I loved every second of it. I bathed him, fed him, trained him, and spent all of my free time with him. I absolutely loved him and he made my teenage years bearable, without him I don’t know if I would have made it through.

Fast forward to ten years later, now married and raising my daughter, Sparky was still by my side. My husband loved him as much as I did and when he passed away that year, we were all heart broken.

After feeling the great loss of Sparky, I knew that I would never take a moment for granted with my pets ever again. It isn’t always on our minds as pet owners but most likely we will outlive them and it’s inevitable but instead of worrying about the negative, I like to make our time together extra special.

Pampering Pets

I like pampering my pets as often as possible and sometimes it’s the little things that get their tails wagging.

Pampering Your Pets

My dogs Mugsy and Brojo are very different in the things they enjoy, Mugsy is excited to go for a walk while Brojo would rather play with toys. Brojo is still a puppy but he has learned quite a few tricks already. He likes to roll over and get his belly rubbed, lay down and get brushed, as well as sit so we can groom him. Brojo may be doing the tricks we ask of him but they are all self serving, he’s such a beagle!

Mugsy on the other hand is the most obedient dog I have ever had. He was abused as a puppy before I got him and spent most of the first year we had him afraid of his own shadow. He enjoys performing tricks just because he likes to please us although I barely had to train him, he is so smart. Since he is a little more uptight and hard working, I like to pamper him by taking him for walks and bring him for rides in the car. He loves to get outside and spend the day with the family and he is such a great dog, he deserves to be pampered!

One thing my dogs have in common is their love of  IAMS® and I love to pamper my pets by feeding them a food made with 100% proactive nutrition, 0% fillers. It’s an easy choice to make and very convenient because I can just pick it up at Walmart.

After feeding your pets IAMS® you will see a noticeable difference in their skin, coat, digestion and energy. This is a great way to pamper your pets and you have nothing to lose. Not only is it simple to pick up a bag at your local Walmart but IAMS® guarantees satisfaction, or your money back.

You are absolutely right. Our dogs do deserve to be spoiled and I am definitely guilty of spoiling my dog.

  3. This is a great post for me today! Last month we lost our dog to Xylitol poisoning. It was heartbreaking and left a huge hole in our hearts. Today, we brought home a new puppy!! Our first girl dog and she is going to be spoiled.

  4. Oh trust me when I say my dogs were always spoiled! Marshmallows were their treats and then we give them a brushing (they loved them).

  5. My pups love it when I come home with groceries. They know somewhere in all that stuff is a special treat for them.

  6. I remember my first dog, too. He’s been gone for a while and we’ve had several dogs since then and I have loved every one of them.

  7. I love that collapsible bowl. My pups are so spoiled. We try to buy them good food like Iams.

  8. We pamper our dog all of the time with lots of cuddles, belly rubs, and nature walks. Our girl loves to explore during the Fall and Winter because the summer humidity in Chicago is way too hot for her.

  9. I think pets need vacations too. It’s definitely good to feed them some really high quality food to keep them happy and healthy.

  10. Your dogs are so cute! I love IAMS. It is such a great brand! I use it all the time!

  11. Happy National Pets Day!!! Your dogs are adorable!! I switch between a few brands of dog food and IAMS is one of them.

  12. Mugsy is so cute. One of our dogs is so jumpy, he’s been with us for three years now and still afraid of everything.

  13. My fur baby is spoiled rotten! I have no regrets though. He provides happiness and is so affectionate and cuddly. Once in a while, he gets his favorite spa session at a groomer’s salon. He loves it!

  14. Your dog is so cute. I have a pomeranian, he eats every thing, all type of foods, especially meatballs 😉

  15. These dogs are adorable, I wanna give them a warm hug. I don’t have a dog, but I wanted have one.

  16. My husband always accuses me of spoiling our dogs. What can I do? They are adorable and so loving.

  17. Our rescue dog, who is about 4 years old, love the IAMS salmon dog food. I have always felt like they make a great product.

As far as spoiling our dogs… I am guilty!

  18. Our 3 dogs are our babies. We treat them as though they actually are babies. I love them to pieces and pamper them every chance I GET!

  19. My Sister has two small dogs that she spoils. They are like her kids. I think they deserve to be spoiled.

  20. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat and some fish. They are pretty spoiled. I’ve had my older dog, a boxer, for 10 years. She’s traveled across the US with me.

  21. We have a dog, a very large dog! He turned out to be way bigger than we thought! He has so much energy. I feel like I am failing when it comes to the obedience training. I was such a push over when he was a puppy and I should have been better! He has SO much energy. Some days I wonder if getting another dog for him to play with would help.

  22. Our dogs are all spoiled too. We adopted our first dog from the pound in late 08. She was an only fog for the longest time. She loved my husband and was sometimes snippy if I got onto her for something. She was probably abused at first too. She is a sweet dog and has had a rather good life now. She loves car rides, snuggling in her bed, and playing as long as the other dogs aren’t involved.

Of course, now she is part of a pack. We got our chihuahua from my sister in laws litter. We got him to grow up with my youngest son. I got a little spoiled once he enjoyed being beside me every day. So I decided I wanted another lap dog, we got lucky and got a Yorkie mix.

They have been featured on my blog a few times and will be again next week. We will be talking dental health for dogs

  23. Our 4 dogs are very spoiled. I’m pretty sure they have me trained when it comes to getting treats and love. They are our family.

  24. Our little yorkie is one spoiled pup, growing up we had beagles and they were spoiled too! They’re part of the family so we have to take care of them!

  25. What a neat campaign! Dogs do indeed need more than we are probably giving them, love IAMS! It’s our favorite dog food and treat! They deserve to be spoiled a bit.

  26. Great post! I try to savor every moment with my dog, because she’s getting up there for her breed (mastiff). I dread that day with all of my heart. I’m even throwing her a 10 year Bday party soon, talk about pampering!

  27. My dog could use a pampering session….although I don’t even think he’d appreciate it much, lol! He’s so used to ME bathing him, cutting his nails, etc.

  28. All dogs deserve to be pampered and loved. My dog is so spoiled it isn’t even funny and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

  29. So true! My pup gets belly rubs and treats everyday.

  30. When you come home from work (or whenever you’ve been away), spoil your dog by giving her a treat. She’ll be happy to see you anyway, but this will make your homecoming even more special.
