SCD Salsa Recipe


Cooking healthy doesn’t always have to be hard. One of the hardest things about following the Specific Carbohydrate Diet for me is the preparation for all of the foods I eat. I have been trying to find easy recipes that can be made in a pinch. When my husband eats chips and dip it is as easy as grabbing some things from the cabinet and eating. So this made me want to make something just as simple so I could enjoy a snack too. Sometimes eating the SCD way can be easy too!

What you’ll need:

1 can of Refried Beans, SCD friendly of course

1 small diced onion

1 diced tomato

1/2 cup of Shredded Colby Jack Cheese

Bake in Preheated oven 10 minutes at 350 degrees

Microwave until warm

Serve with Zucchini chips or Mini colored Peppers

  2. We love refried beans and this sounds great with tortilla chips. I love the idea of zuchinni chips and will make some of those too!
