My husband grew up in the Chicago suburbs and has frequented their burrito joints his whole life. Since we moved to Iowa the selection of Mexican food is very limited and frankly not good! So we have had to make our own versions of his favorite dishes to satisfy his craving without taking a very long road trip. To save you the trouble I am sharing one of our favorite dips to make. It’s easy and cheesy, a perfect combination in my house.
What you’ll need:
1 jar of Tostito’s Medium Chunky Salsa
2 bricks of Cream Cheese
1 16 ounce bag of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 baking dish, we use a 9×9 glass brownie pan
Preheat your oven to 380 degrees, weird I know but my husband insists on that temperature.
Spread the cream cheese on the bottom of the pan.
Add the jar of salsa
Top with the entire bag of Mozzarella
Bake for about 10 minutes. Serve with Tortilla chips and enjoy!
Just looking at that gooey cheesy salsa dip makes my mouth water!
