Crock Pot Chilli Mac

Some days I feel like cooking an amazing meal for my family after a long day of work, cleaning my house until it sparkles, taking the dogs for a long scenic walk at the park, teaching my daughter life lessons while we do something fun together, and putting a great big smile on my husbands face.

Then there are those other days where it takes everything I have to get through the day without bail money. On those days, I make Crock Pot Chilli Mac.

This meal is so easy to make that you can teach the kids how to do in case it is one of those days where you actually did require that bail money. There is nothing better to be greeted by when you arrive home after being sprung from the pokey than the smell of this chilli mac.

All you have to do is brown a pound of ground beef or if you married well like I did venison is a great option for this chilli mac.

If you are anti hunting and you still eat meat, please feel free to enlighten me in the comments section. I know you are just dying to tell the world how much better of a person you are because you choose to have your animals tortured and full of chemicals rather than dying humanely after living a cage free life.

After the meat is browned, drain the fat and put the meat into a crock pot or slow cooker, whatever you call it.

Seriously the makers of crock pot are pretty lucky that people like me refer to a slow cooker as a crock pot although crock pot is actually just a brand name for a slow cooker.

Anyway, add onions to the pot and cook them until they are softened if at all possible, just try not to burn the damn things. They really stink up a house when you overcook them and it changes the flavor so avoid that like eye contact with those kiosk people at the mall.

Add the onions and the meat to the crock pot along with the chilli beans then stir it all together.

Next, add in the tomato sauce and all of the seasonings.

If you are still stirring your own crock pot you don’t know what you are missing, you have to pick up one of these self stirring crock pots actually made by the company Crock Pot who is not paying me for this post by the way.

I wonder if I say crock pot enough times somehow they will find me and want to work with me, so look out for that future partnership!

Just don’t forget to set it to actually stir your food because that is what I did and the edge burned a little so at this point my crock pot was like a traditional one that doesn’t stir at all.

When your ready to serve your meal in about 15 minutes, add in the macaroni, milk, and cheese.

Turn off your crock pot and enjoy this meal after you let it cool off for a couple of minutes or like ten. Seriously, I can not seem to cook a crock pot meal that doesn’t burn three layers off of my lips on the first bite.

Go get some drinks, bowls and napkins or greet mom when she arrives home from jail if it was one of those days, then enjoy your Crock Pot Chilli Mac as a family.

What is your go to meal when you are having one of those days?
