These Creative Ways for Mother’s to Connect with Kids is the perfect solution for parents wanting to bond with their kids. Whether you have a son or a daughter or both, all moms can benefit from this!Connect with Kids In a Creative Way

Bonding with my daughter has always been very important to me. In my experience, it seems that parents who have a strong bond with their children have a better success rate when it comes to dealing with the hard stuff in life. When your children feel like they can come to you, knowing you would be able to find common ground, that is the best way to combat a difficult or traumatic experience. As a parent of a teenager, I know that the really hard stuff is about to be a big part of our lives, the high school years. Thankfully I feel that my husband and I have been preparing for this time as well as getting our daughter prepared, her entire life.

We have always made it very clear that we expect certain things and in exchange certain privileges are granted but just as in the real world, if you make a wrong move, everything can be taken away, just as fast as it came into your life. Although the consequences are not easy to handle, once you have found the best way to connect with kids, they will be more likely to come to you with the problem and face the consequences head-on rather than lie in an attempt to avoid any conflict.

Creating that strong bond is most important and I am so excited to share my most recent tool to help other moms connect with their kids.

I was sent the Love, Mom and Me: A Mother and Daughter Keepsake Journal as well as the Between Mom and Me: A Mother and Son Keepsake Journal. in exchange for my honest review, Keep in mind that all opinions are my own.

My daughter and I had a blast checking out the journals and we really learned a lot about how we see one another and a few unique facts that may not have otherwise come up. For example, my daughter wrote that one of her favorite memories of the time we spent together was the day we drove around in a sports car, taking pictures for my blog.

While I had a lot of fun that day, I didn’t realize it would become such a cherished memory for her, after all, I was the one that got to drive the sports car.

Since the journal prompts you to take turns, there are times when filling in the pages that my daughter and I didn’t see each other’s answers, which makes it quite amusing when we stumbled upon parts where we both said basically the same thing.

We really do have a lot in common, which makes this creative way to bond an even more exciting hobby to enjoy. My daughter is just as creative as I am, maybe even more, which gives me a huge sense of pride because that is something we can share together. She loves to draw and bullet journal, although she calls it bujo. If you aren’t familiar, bullet journaling is a great way to get organized, set goals, keep important info, and be creative, it is also something that I have taken up in order to spend more time bonding with my daughter.

Getting creative, finding an outlet that you both enjoy that allows you to express yourself as well as get to know eachother better is a fantastic way to connect with your kids!

Aww, that is such a cute and sweet way to bond! I love it! My daughter is only a toddler, but I can't wait to start doing fun things like this with her when she is a bit older.

It sounds like you have a well-rounded system for your children. Setting boundaries is the best way to protect and teach them.

This is such a sweet idea! Even though my son and I are very close, I think he would benefit from something like this - and I know I would as well.

Oh I love the idea of that journal, what a gorgeous thing to do and a way to communicate. My eldest is 14 and we have a great relationship, he tells me everything SO FAR!
