This April Dairy Queen is celebrating it’s 75th “Fanniversary”, and they are encouraging everyone to Celebrate with Dairy Queen with their #GetUpsideDown campaign highlighting a tasty treat, the Oreo Blizzard.
When visiting a Dairy Queen during the month of April, no matter what flavor Blizzard you choose, if it isn’t served upside down, it’s free on your next visit.
When I first heard about this I thought there was no way they could serve my blizzard upside down, it will just fall out of the cup.
Apparently, their soft serve is so thick and creamy that when they flip it upside down, it doesn’t fall out!
I was so blown away by this that despite all of the weird looks I received from other customers I had to snap a picture!
DQ is inviting America to test their employees’ flip skills and trying to reach 15 million Blizzard treat flips throughout April. That’s a lot of tasty treats being served!
My husband loves the Oreo Blizzard and apparently he isn’t the only one because it is one of the best selling Blizzards of all time.
He is from Joliet, Il where the first Diary Queen is located but we were both surprised when we found out that Dairy Queen actually invented soft serve which eventually led to the thick and creamy blizzard treat.
I can’t seem to choose which is my favorite, I get a different one every time I go to Dairy Queen. When I really can’t make up my mind I start mixing flavors that have never even been added to the menu like Peanut Butter Cheesecake Blizzard with Snickers, it sounds crazy but trust me it’s delicious!
