It’s beginning to look a lot like…time to put up a tree or skip it this year! If you are anything like me, this year really crept up on me and I am not at all prepared. Who knew starting your own blog would take so much time? Just kidding, I knew it would be a lot of work but the time sure flies when you are super busy all of the time. I felt bad for all of the time I have been spending cleaning the house to prepare for holiday visitors and working on my blog. So I decided to take a little time to work on a Christmas craft that will help get anyone into the holiday spirit.
As with all of my crafts and recipes, it’s easy to do and super cheap! I started with Dollar store items and some things I already had lying around the house.
I gathered my supplies of glue, glitter, embellishments, and an old light bulb. You can use burnt out light bulbs from your Christmas lights too, they make great ornaments!
Just cover your bulb in glue and let the fun begin!
I like to add a mixture of colors and designs.
Think outside the box for the embellishments, basically anything that will stick to your ornament will look great. When glittering be sure to pour glitter over a paper, this will help you conserve your supply and avoid a mess. I learned the hard way, my vacuum is sparkly though!
Roll glitter in the left overs from other ornaments to ensure good coverage. Only add glue to the area you want covered with the color you are working with otherwise you will not get a clear line.
After you have decorated your ornaments the way you would like them, hang them from a pretty ribbon and on your tree.
Let me know how your Christmas Ornament Craft turned out!
Happy Crafting and Merry Christmas!
