Simple Ways to Achieve the Farmhouse Look Without Breaking the Bank

It seems like whenever I find out about a new home decorating trend I want to throw everything away and completely overhaul my home. Unless I actually hit the lottery one of these days, that is just not possible so instead of starting over each season with a new theme in my home, I decided to just change a few pieces here and there.

Simple Ways to Achieve the Farmhouse Look Without Breaking the Bank

The most recent home decorating trend I have fallen in love with is the Farmhouse look. I love the rustic, antique, and reclaimed wood items used to decorate every room in the house so I decided to find some steals on Amazon that allow me to bring a little of the Farmhouse Design to my home without having to take out a second mortgage.

Farmhouse Design picks that I can actually afford to add to my home!

When adding a few farmhouse design pieces to your home don’t forget the bathroom! This Vintage Bath Sign would be the perfect addition and because of the simple colors and design, it will fit in with most decor you already have.

Small Items that Make a Big Impact

One of my favorite ways to add a little pop of color and change up the theme of a room is to place a few new throw pillows on the couch or bed. This simple Home Sweet Home Pillow is the perfect way to bring the Farmhouse Design into your home without having to do any actual work. Just order and relax, it’s that easy.

Add a plank wall to your home the cheap and easy way with this DIY Plank Wall Tutorial.  This plank wall makes displaying farmhouse decor easy because the rustic wood color makes all wall art pop!

One of my favorite colors is turquoise and when I find a piece that I think will bring a little bit of a vintage feel to my home and it incorporates my favorite color, I have to have it. This Kate Aspen Vintage Lantern has it all!

Wall Art Perfect for Farmhouse Design

You can’t forget the walls when adding a new look to your home, these Inspirational Quotes are a great way to bring a positive vibe into your home as well as add to the Farmhouse look that is trending right now.

I have always been a fan of Tuscan style and since this Vintage European Creative Frameless Wooden Electronic Wall Clock has elements of the farmhouse design and Tuscan style, I think it belongs in my home!

Another simple way to add a touch of the Farmhouse look to your home is with this Laundry Fluff & Fold 5 Cents Sign. You can add a vintage look to a room that may have otherwise gone undecorated.

More Farmhouse Items that Make a Big Impact

This Decorative ladder made of reclaimed wood would be great by a bookshelf, as a towel holder, or even a place to hang magazines. The possibilities are endless.

This Vintage Ceramic Serving Pitcher reminds me of my friend’s house growing up, her grandmother always had one of these on a stove in her living room and I love the simple white. This piece can be added to a shelf, displayed on a counter, or even used as a vase for flowers.

This Deco 79 Glass Vase is another turquoise accent that I have to have in my home! This could be a great way to display your favorite farmhouse style floral display like these cotton stems with eucalyptus leaves.

Adding a rug in front of the kitchen sink not only adds a little comfort for your tired feet while doing dishes but this Star Stencil Rug adds a nice farmhouse element to any kitchen. This is a simple way to add a farmhouse look to an area without a lot of wall space or taking up any counter space.

Large Pieces to Add to Your Farmhouse Decor Collection

Adding these rustic storage ottomans can give your home a farmhouse feel while providing more surfaces to decorate. Add a few plants or display your favorite farmhouse picture frames with these versatile farmhouse pieces.

Although I am not interested in completely overhauling my home, I don’t think I can live without this farmhouse table any longer. It would be a great place to gather around with the family at the end of each day to enjoy a meal together and reconnect.

I think this piece would work well with other decorative trends that may pop up in the future as well so it wouldn’t be such an impulsive buy, or at least that is what I am going to tell my husband when I show it to him.

Do you like to decorate your home to stay on top of the trends? What do you think of the Farmhouse Design? Leave me a comment letting me know about your favorite farmhouse decor items.

I have that EXACT lantern, it is one of my favorites in my house! I have a few on my dining room table right now as a centerpiece. They are quite small but adorable.

The pieces you curated in this post are so lovely! Thanks for sharing them! Like you I absolutely adore that farmhouse table. It's the type of table that one doesn't worry about scratches, and it looks very inviting. I wish I had a similar one in my home right now!

I love Farmhouse style - it immediately brings in the warmth and coziness. What you have featured here are all stunning. I have a few items here and there from this style but nothing that speaks so much about this decor. I think it is popular these days because it is easy to unwind and relax in a farmhouse home :-)
