How to Get Picky Eaters to Eat Vegetables

I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and post my honest opinions. Compensation for this post was provided and this page may contain affiliate links.

One of the hardest things to do as a mom is get my daughter to eat her vegetables. I know I am not alone in this struggle as it seems pretty common for kids to be picky eaters these days but it still makes me feel like I could do better and that I am failing as a mom when her diet consists only of processed foods.

What really sets this problem apart from what most moms go through with their picky eaters is that my daughter does not really enjoy fruit either.

Bomb Pops

That is insane to most of us because kids usually lean towards the sweeter snacks and most fruit offers that sweet flavor but she just doesn’t like things like bananas or oranges.

In the past I have tried everything I could to get her to eat her daily serving of fruit and vegetables and it hasn’t been easy.

I have made cauliflower mac n cheese, smoothies, broccoli casserole which is pretty tasty but the problem is that it seems all of the good from those veggies is combated by a ton of unhealthy ingredients just to get her to like the taste.

Thankfully there is a solution for picky eaters, Veggie-Go’s Fruit & Veggie Snacks.

These USDA organic snacks are the perfect solution for picky eaters that don’t normally enjoy the flavors of vegetables and some fruits.

There is no added sugar and each snack offers one full serving of whole fruits & veggies! This Non-GMO snack is also gluten free and comes in two different forms.

  • Veggie-Go’s Strips: A tasty and fun way to eat whole fruits and veggies in a delicious strip.
  • Veggie-Go’s Bites: Offering a unique flavor combinations and crunchy bits in a pack of bite-sized pieces.

These delicious snacks are available in 3 flavors: Strawberry, Chia+Beets, Berry, Rice Crisps+Greens and Orange, Cocoa Nibs+Carrots

My family has found a favorite, the Berry Apple + Spinach! It is the only way to get my daughter to eat spinach and it’s not even a struggle. She will eat one of these strips anytime I offer it and I feel good about the fact that she is getting a whole serving of fruits & veggies without a battle!

Veggie-Go’s Fruit & Veggie Snacks are available to purchase in most Whole Foods Markets, Sprouts Farmers Markets, Amazon, and veggiegos.com!  Click here to find a store near you that sells Veggie-Go’s Fruit & Veggie Snacks.

I have seen that kids are not really receptive to any kind of new food. but once they develop the taste for it, they relish it for a few weeks and then again stop eating them. So you constantly need to keep improvising, may be just change the look of the same food.

My kids are not picky but they are moody when it comes to eating so I cook whatever they have in the mood or like to eat. That doesn't work out all the time though lol.

My mother would have loved to have these around when I was a kid. I like raw vegetables but didn't eat enough of them. These would have been a great option. I'll have to look for these at the grocery store next time.

Okay, these look really good. Not just for the kids, but I could see myself snacking on them as well. Sometimes I need a sweet treat, and love the idea of sneaking in some vegetables.
