While I can’t exactly call myself an interior decorator, I do have a passion for making a house into a home. Over the years I have scored some great deals and learned a few things about what it takes to transform a drab space into something you can be proud to call your home.
I have found decorating inspiration in a lot of different places from television shows that redecorate homes and give them to families in need to shopping at places like Wayfair that offer everything I need to make the most of a space.

Most of my decorating challenges come in the form of not being able to find the perfect size lamp or shade of blue to bring out the color of my couch. I know that there are many people whose obstacles come in the form of needing special doorways or furniture to accommodate wheelchairs or other medical devices. It really puts things into perspective when you think of things like that.
I think about what it would be like to not be able to fit a wheelchair through all of the doors in my home or how some levels would be inaccessible to me if I were handicapped. It would be a daily struggle to just do the things most of us take for granted in our own homes, like doing dishes or taking a shower.
That is why I am excited to share with you a new and exciting partnership between Homes for Our Troops and Wayfair.

In typical Wayfair fashion, the decor of these homes inspires and impresses me from the little details like the buffalo check throw pillows to the big things like the pull-down cabinet shelves to make the kitchen more user-friendly.
I am happy to spread the word about Homes for Our Troops and Wayfair collaborating to give back to the people who have given our country so much. Plus I always enjoy seeing a well-decorated home reveal, maybe I can learn a thing or two.
