What’s New at Hy-Vee Unboxing

I am always interested in trying new things, especially new food. Whenever I go grocery shopping I do a pretty good job of sticking to the list but if I stumble upon something new and exciting, I have to pick it up.

I recently had the chance from Helpful Smiles TV to try out 5 new products from Hy-Vee and I am excited to share my thoughts on each one.

What’s in the Box?

The Hy-Vee box included Cheetos Bones, Coke Zero, Cheez-It Snap’d Cheddar Sour Cream and Onion, Big Moe BBQ Sauce, and Margherita salami packs.

All of these items were new to me although I have tried similar products from different brands.

I was a little nervous about what may be inside but after seeing the items I was excited to try them out. Each one of them sounded like something I would like to give a shot, especially on a cheat day.

I rated each item on a 5 point exclamation point system. If I give a product a 5, that means I love it and will buy it again. If I rate a product with a 1, it means that this is something that isn’t for me but maybe someone else would enjoy it.

Cheetos Bones

I was so excited when I opened up the bag of Cheetos Bag of Bones because the cinnamon smell was an unexpected but pleasant surprise.

As I pulled the delicious treats out of the bag, I could see that they all come together to create a skeleton, perfect for Halloween. After trying these out, I gave them 5 exclamation points and recommend everyone give them a try.

Cheez-It Snap’d Cheddar Sour Cream and Onion

I absolutely loved Cheez-It Snap’d Sour Cream and Onion. This is the perfect snack for any cheat day. Crunchy, savory, and bursting with flavor, I always keep my cabinet full for when that craving hits.

Needless to say, I give this snack a 5!

Big Moe BBQ sauce

After tasting the Big Moe I-80 BBQ Sauce I was pleased to have a new BBQ sauce to try. I am always on the lookout for a good sauce for grilling and since trying this one, I have grilled chicken and pork chops to perfection thanks to the bold flavor of this sauce.

I give Big Moe BBQ Sauce a 5!

Margherita salami packs

No charcuterie board would be complete without a delicious Italian Dry Salami. Hy-Vee makes this easy with the Margherita salami packs that offer a quick and easy snack for cheese boards or by themselves.

I gave this product a 5!

Coke Zero Sugar

When I was a kid, I drank regular soda and I have been a diet soda drinker for most of my adult life so I feel like I have a unique perspective on the taste difference between the two.

Coke Zero tastes like the perfect combination of the two flavors from regular Coke and diet. I was blown away by how much I enjoyed this one and also gave it a 5!  

After trying all of these products, especially after rating them all at a 5, it was hard to pick a favorite. Even though I loved them all, I must say that one still stood out.

That was the Cheez-It Snap’d Cheddar Sour Cream and Onion. I love the flavor as well as the packaging. The simplicity of grabbing a bag and sending it in a school lunch, already portioned out, makes this a keeper for me.
