Far Infrared Therapy for IBD

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of HealthyLine and Chronic Illness Bloggers. All opinions are my own.

Living with a chronic illness can be difficult and when you suffer from IBD, at times it can seem like there are no natural treatments available.

When I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, my doctor immediately wrote me a prescription for medicines that I would have to take until I needed something even stronger.

The side effects on some of the medicines seemed to be just as bad as living with the disease, Ulcerative Colitis.

It really made me feel like I had no choice in my treatment and that I would have to be on medicines that do harm to my body throughout my life.

I began researching natural treatments and diet changes in order to make positive changes in my health but nothing seemed to completely heal my Ulcerative Colitis which went into remission from time to time but I wanted more.

I recently found out about natural gemstone technology and wish I had learned about this earlier, it sounds really helpful for those suffering from a wide variety of conditions, including IBD.

The basis of gemstone technology involves heating gemstones to release what is known as far infrared rays and negative ions.

This has so many benefits for your health and is a really convenient way to help with a chronic illness like Ulcerative Colitis because it can be done at home and it doesn’t take up much space.

I have always been interested in the healing effects of crystals and love that the Far infrared therapy is channeled through heated gemstones.

Far Infrared Rays are most commonly received from sunlight where the rays penetrate 4-6 inches into the body’s tissues.

They stimulate the circulatory system, boosting your blood flow which can help to decrease pain, inflammation, stiffness, and stress levels.

Negative Ion Therapy is natures purifier as it cleans the air of harmful agents.

The heated gemstones can provide a boost of negative ions and can improve your respiratory system as well as decrease stress.

Another benefit is Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields.

PEMF or pulsed electromagnetic field therapy is the process of applying magnetic fields to the body, it stimulates the health of cells and counteracts harmful exposure from electronics.

It has also been used to help with joint repair, blood circulation, and brain function.

Frequencies between 0 Hz to 100 Hz (Hz is a measure of cycles per minute) have been found to be beneficial.

HealthyLine uses a frequency of 7.8 Hz which is the same frequency as the earth’s magnetic field which also helps to reverse the effects of the harmful EMFs caused by electronic waves such as radio towers and cellular data.

I am sure we could all relate to having too much time with electronics and could benefit from the magnetic fields!

Another interesting benefit is Photon Light Therapy.

Uses visible red lights at a wavelength of 660 nanometers and it penetrates just below the surface of your skin.

Pairs well with hot stone therapy because it requires direct contact with the skin and it improves motor function as well as nerve regeneration.

After reading some of the reviews on Amazon, I feel like this is a must try for those suffering from any chronic illness, especially Ulcerative Colitis.

I know how much of a struggle day to day life can be when living with an illness like IBD and I know how desperate it can make you feel when looking for something that actually helps relieve your symptoms which is why this is a must try!

HealthLine has the world’s largest selection of heated natural gemstone therapy mats and they also have heated knee pads, shoulder pads, pillows, and even energy bedding.

This is very interesting! I know many people who are always looking for alternative therapies for treatments - besides the traditional medicine.

I’m a little confused, have you actually used this product? Did it legitimately help your UC?

That is pretty cool! I have heard about infrared therapy for other things, and even being used on animals for aches and pains. Had no idea it would be good for IBD, but it sounds like a great therapy to have!

This is such a neat product. I think this would be such great therapy. I don't know anyone with IBD, but I bet this really helps.
