My daughter has been in love with macarons for several years so it was only a matter of time before we attempted to make our own Macaron Recipe.

Thankfully it was a success and after trying these delicious treats, I knew I had to share this Macaron recipe.

Plus this Macaron Recipe is so easy to whip up! With six different filling recipes, you can make them again and again with a new flavor to enjoy, each time.

What makes this Macaron Recipe so Special?

We started out by deciding what flavor macaron we wanted and then scoured the internet for easy macaron recipes and no-fail macarons, unfortunately, most of those recipes failed for us. There were tons of macaron filling recipes out there but nothing quite worked out.

Either we didn’t have all of the fancy equipment we needed to recreate the recipe or the consistency was just not quite right. It’s amazing to me how many recipes are out there that require an insane amount of tools that you just don’t find in the standard kitchen.

After lots of experimenting, we finally found the perfect combination that worked for us. We were so excited about how these turned out that we can’t wait to share it with you. You won’t believe how easy it is to recreate, this delicious Macaron Recipe with lots of fun filling options.

What inspired this Macaron Recipe?

I am so happy that we figured it out because after hearing about these things constantly from my daughter, I finally located a place that sold them, and boy were they overpriced. I couldn’t believe the price tag on a pack of nine macaroons, coming in at around ten dollars a pack.

I just can’t imagine regularly paying someone that kind of money to make pastries, I would much rather whip up my own. As soon as this French treat cost me money, that is the exact moment when I decided to attempt to create my own Macaron Recipe.

Can I double this recipe?

I have not had much success with doubling although I have made more in separate batches in the past to make sure we never run out of these macarons!

Mix the powdered sugar and almond flour. Add in the salt and mix until completely combined. This part should be done until the mixture becomes very fine.

Macaron Recipe

Pour the almond flour into a sieve/sifter like this one, and then add it to the bowl.

In another bowl, it’s time to beat in the egg whites until peaks form.

Make Your Macarons the Perfect Shape

Put the batter into a piping bag and pipe the macarons onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If you have difficulty with this step, you can pick up a mat that is specially designed to help with the process of making macarons. You can get it for under $15 by clicking here.

Tap the baking sheet to release air bubbles. Allow macarons to sit and dry out, this usually takes me about 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and bake for about 15 minutes.

The filling ingredients include egg whites, but the directions to make the filling do not indicate using the egg whites. I’m confused by that part. Otherwise recipe looks great….my 12 year old daughter is anxious to try it.

Thanks for stopping by Dorothy! I apologize for the error in the recipe, it seems I wrote egg whites twice. I have updated it, thank you for catching that! Happy baking, I hope you and your 12 year old enjoy the recipes.

You've inspired me to look for a low carb version of this, you already have the almond flour which is a good start! I love mint and being a Francophile, J'adore the thought of making macarons!

I like that your recipe uses Almond flour. I use it a lot in my baking. It's great when you don't want wheat or if you're gluten intolerant. I never know how something like this is going to turn out. I can't tell you how many recipes I've made from scratch that I wouldn't share with my neighbors. But you're right when you said: "don't get discouraged if yours doesn't turn out right." That would be me~~

Oh yum!! Can't go wrong with mint and Oreo! Actually mint and chocolate is one of my favorite flavor combinations. I've never tried to make macarons before, but this recipe looks relatively easy! Thanks so much for sharing.
