The Ultimate Road Trip Boredom Buster for Kids

I have received this product in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I love going on road trips with my family, exploring new areas and visiting some of our favorite places across the country whenever we can get away. My husband and I like seeing the different wildlife in each area, taking pictures so the memories will last a lifetime. Unfortunately, my daughter doesn’t always appreciate taking in the sights and at times gets pretty antsy in the backseat during road trips, like most kids. Thankfully there is a solution, I have recently got my hands on the Playtime Pad DVD Combo from PBS Kids.

The Playtime Pad DVD Combo is a 2-in-1 tablet and DVD player that is the perfect portable entertainment provider for kids! It comes preloaded with over 23 educational games, 120 video clips, songs, and music videos in subjects including reading, math, and more making this tablet great for keeping kids entertained while at home or on the road.

Featuring parental controls, you can now manage and customize your child’s entertainment experience. You can never be too careful, especially with all of the content available online these days.

I love being able to log in under my parent id and password in order to make changes, add apps, and remove them as well. This way I can make sure that everything on the tablet is age appropriate and customized to fit my preferences as well as my daughters.

Things sure have come a long way since I was a child riding in the back of my parent’s smokey car sandwiched between my brother and sister on one of our many family road trips. We took a lot of trips from New Jersey to Virginia when I was little, visiting family and taking in the sights along the way. Since this trip was so frequent, it wasn’t long before us kids were battling it out in the backseat, feeling cramped and getting on each other’s nerves.

Having a Playtime Pad DVD Combo in those days would have saved a lot of grief for my parents who often threatened us from the front seat with things like turning the car around and often jerked the car all over the road while trying to swat at us for fighting in the back.

Besides the secure feeling of knowing exactly what the kids are up to in the backseat while on a family road trip this playtime pad comes in handy as a portable DVD player!

This fully loaded entertainment system is a compact way to bring all of your child’s favorite movies on the road and strap the player to the back of a car seat for hands-free viewing.

No more worrying about charging several items, collecting all of the gadgets when checking out of a hotel, and having more luggage to carry than you can handle, everything is all in one place.

Games, movies, activities, and your favorite apps, all in one easily manageable device that is sure to make your next road trip fun for the whole family.

The PBS Kids Playtime Pad DVD Combo is going on our upcoming road trips this Summer and you can pick one up at Walmart.com. We are so excited to check out places like South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana this Summer, where are you headed this year?

That looks like it would be a lot of fun! When we were kids we played lots of games on our road trips, but after a few hours, we would get bored. Something like this would have probably kept us entertained for the rest of the day.

I don't have kids, but I wish I had a fun DVD player like this one when I was younger. This would have made road trips more fun. Love how sturdy the DVD player is and it looks like there are good options to watch. This could make a good gift :)
