When I first told my husband that I was able to make a rotisserie chicken in under an hour, he was concerned that the chicken was not cooked thoroughly or that it would be a really small chicken.

When I told him that it was a 4-pound chicken cooked to perfection in under an hour, he wanted to know how that was possible.

Now, this is normally where I would tell him how it was possible and fill him in on the details that make me sound like I know what I am talking about but the truth is, I have no idea how this is possible.

Seriously, how does an air-fryer cook things faster than an oven?

I guess its kind of like how I am able to fry chicken breast in a traditional deep fryer in under 10 minutes although in my oven it would take at least 20.

or magic.

Either way, I am going to show you how I make a rotisserie chicken in under an hour!

The first step is to remove that bag of random organs from the inside of the chicken and send it straight to the firey pits of hell, where it belongs.

Then clean your chicken and shove that air fryer rotisserie rod into the center as if this wasn’t once a live animal.

Pat your chicken dry and rub the mixture of seasonings all over it.

Use twine to tie the legs up and keep them from rubbing the edges or get creative if you have no twine like myself and use the skewers that came with your air fryer to hold that bad boy in there.

If you are making a 4-pound rotisserie chicken then hit the rotisserie button and let it cook for about 45 minutes.

Have you picked up an air-fryer yet? What is your favorite recipe to cook in it?

We love rotisserie chicken and my husband recently bought an air fryer. But I don't think ours came with a rotisserie - I'll have to check that out because this could be a dinnertime life changer! LOL

We love Rotisserie chicken but we always just buy one from the store. I had no idea that it is so easy to prepare. I do need to get me an air fryer though.

I don't eat meat anymore but when I did, this was one of our go-to meals. I would always just buy one at the store, ready made. I didn't realize it was this easy to make!
