This Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum Review is brought to you through a partnership with Shark. Although I received a product in exchange for my review, all opinions are my own.
Have you ever vacuumed your entire floor and then vacuumed your entire floor again and then again and then again?
Well, I have…. and that embarrassingly real fact about me is why I consider myself a great judge of vacuums and their performance as well as their overall value to the consumer.
I also have 7 Vacuums in my collection right now and that is also an embarrassingly real fact about me but I feel that is worth mentioning considering my claim to be a great judge of vacuums.
To make sure that isn’t because I am a blogger with the opportunity to review lots of stuff, I asked a blogger friend of mine about which products excite her most when they show up for review and she said shoes and speakers.
For me, it’s a vacuum every time.
Oh and I also have two really furry dogs, one of them is a puppy who rips apart at least 4 stuffed animals a day which always leaves a beautiful mess of vacuum murdering cloud puffs behind.
She has been the biggest obstacle in my house cleaning adventures lately. I let her make messes because let’s face it, she is an animal that I outsmarted and tricked into living with me, inside of my home, where nothing fun happens.
Then I sprinkle items all throughout my home that obviously looks delicious to her because I keep catching her trying to rip my couch apart whenever I step out of the room.
So, I let her have lots of toys that make big messes. It makes her happy and because of the Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum, I don’t even have to clean those messes up anymore!
Usually, those little cloud puffs murder my vacuum but luckily this thing is a hungry and helpful beast!
Of course, I pick up anything that may damage the vacuum but luckily I can do everything else right from my phone.
After downloading the app on my phone I am able to control the Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum at the touch of a button.
I connected my vacuum to the wifi in my home, named it, set a schedule for the vacuum to follow throughout the week without me having to mess with it again and then followed it during its first trip around my home.
I like that it allows you to name your vacuum because it seems so familiar after all it is like your housekeeper that doesn’t even ask for a day off or a Christmas bonus.
Plus it always makes me giggle when my phone shows me an alert that says something like Joe Dirt’s side brush got stuck.
I just picture a mullet wrapped around the brush roll.
It even has voice control through the Google Assistant & Shark® skill for Amazon Alexa.
Now I personally do not have any of that eavesdropping equipment in my home but if you are not afraid of the man like I am, I bet that is pretty cool.
Talking to your vacuum would be fun and I am sure it would give me plenty of opportunities to quote the movie my vacuum is named after.
It also comes with a roll of boundary strips. This allows you to keep your housekeeper out of trouble, they are much like moms and try to take on more than they should at any given time.
I learned pretty quickly that setting up the boundary strips was an important part of my robot vac not needing my assistance when it runs each day.
The first time you run the Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum you should keep an eye out for the different obstacles you may not have been aware of before having your own house cleaning R2D2 roaming the halls.
I put a strip under the furniture that I knew it would get stuck under and made sure I kept it away from wires, now it runs without any issue throughout my home!
It goes from rugs to hardwood flawlessly and returns to its docking station each and every time!
I pointed that last part out because my previous robot vac got lost on its way back home pretty often. It reminded me of Happy Gilmore and the golf ball which may have led to me yelling at it and asking if it is too good for it’s home a time or two.
I am happy to say that the Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum heads back home with ease. There is even a docking station button right on top so you can send it back to charge whenever you want.
Since a large part of the mess in my home is animal related, I am so happy that the Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum has a self-cleaning brushroll.
I love that the large amount of hair, fluff, and random dirt that managed to find its way into my home all fits into the dustbin on the Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum. My other robot vac could not keep up with the messes I put it up against overtime but the Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum is doing an amazing job!
There have been days that I didn’t even bring out the standard vacuum to clean up the big messes, I let the Shark ION ROBOT™ 750 Connected Robotic Vacuum take on the whole floor all by itself and was pleasantly surprised with the results each and every time.
I give this robot vacuum 5 stars, it does it’s job and offers lots of perks to make it that much more valuable to the consumer.
