I have noticed something that is quite common among busy women and that is the lack of me time that they allow themselves.
It can be easy to blame the lack of me time on having too many things to get done but that excuse is not a good reason to avoid taking time for yourself, we must make time!
After a recent health emergency that landed me in the hospital for yet another unexpected surgery, I have decided that life is just too unpredictable to put the important things off, even for a day.
I always promise myself that I will eventually take some me time someday but somehow that day never comes.
So I am going to make it a priority this year, I am going to take more me time for myself!
I work hard, I take care of a lot of things and people, I have many responsibilities, and I deserve to take some time to myself.
Believe it or not, the hard part is over now, actually deciding that you are taking time for yourself is the hardest part, it isn’t actually finding the time like we let ourselves believe.
It’s easy to put off doing things for yourself when you have a lot of responsibilities but with a few small adjustments to your schedule, you too can take some time for yourself.
One great way to make sure that you are taking time to yourself each and every day is to create a habit.
Combining something as simple as lunchtime with a good book, a favorite television show, a podcast you love, or just some time on Pinterest is the perfect way to make sure you get in some Me Time, every day.
