Watching the football game at my home is more than sitting in front of a television screaming and rooting your team on. It’s about food, family, and fun. I like to make easy recipes that the entire family can enjoy without having to spend a lot of time in the kitchen so I can spend more time enjoying the day with my family.
I decided to serve up a tasty appetizer, dinner, and dessert with very little effort although it is packed with flavor. I found a way to make an easy Garlic Bread and Garlic Butter Sauce.
When I was a kid, I enjoyed pushing my parent’s buttons and seeing what I could get away with.
My dad was part of a football pool at work and he brought one of the slips home for me to pick the teams for him. I was excited to try my hand at football picks and made my choices, I proudly handed the slip back to him, feeling confident that my teams are sure to win.
When he inspected my choices, he became pretty upset when he found out I had chosen his favorite team’s competitor as the winner in that weekend’s game. He insisted I changed it and being as headstrong as I was and still am, I refused and reminded him that he let me choose and that was my choice.
He was really annoyed when his team lost and I was more than proud of my new favorite team when they proved me right. When it was time to go school clothes shopping, I couldn’t wait to show off my pride in my new team by purchasing everything that had their logo on it. This became the newest way for me to push my dad’s buttons and I enjoyed every second of it.
These days at my home, the highlight of the big game is the food. Everyone looks forward to the snacks and meals I prepare for game day. I don’t want to spend the entire day away from my guests so I like to make a quick meal that satisfies all of my guests but doesn’t require a huge production in the kitchen.
My favorite quick and easy meal to serve is the Red Baron Brick Oven Cheese Trio pizza along with Edward’s Hershey’s Chocolate Crème Pie for dessert.
My favorite appetizer is easy-to-make garlic bread served with a delicious garlic butter sauce. It kind of reminds me of one of the garlic breads I enjoyed most as a kid at Domino’s.
My grandma Ellen taught me how to make garlic bread and I couldn’t believe how simple it was. She always made the best Italian food and every recipe was a masterpiece so I assumed this would be a difficult recipe to make but it really is the tastiest and easiest garlic bread recipe I ever tried to make.
First, you will cut the loaf into slices, this can be any shape you prefer, I am cutting the bread into slices. Spread the softened butter onto the bread and sprinkle the herbs and spices evenly onto each slice of bread.
Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until the bread is toasted and golden brown.
While the garlic bread is baking, begin making the garlic butter sauce by dicing the garlic cloves.
Then melt the stick of butter on low heat in a small saucepan. Add the garlic to the saucepan. As the butter melts, stir and add in the rest of the herbs and garlic salt. Continue to heat until the garlic cloves are soft and the butter has become liquid.
Serve immediately and don’t forget to dip your Red Baron pizza crust into the Garlic Butter Sauce, you won’t want to miss that delicious flavor combination.

This recipe looks awesome!!! Since I don’t use grain flour, do you think almond or coconut flour would work well as a substitute? Thanks!
