Must Have Kitchen Gadgets

I spend most of my day in the kitchen cooking and cleaning, so I am always on the look out for gadgets that make my life easier. Anything that saves me time and makes my work a little more fun is welcome in my kitchen. There are a lot of products out there and most of them claim to save you time but in the end they just take up precious counter space and never get used.

I decided to share my favorite products that I use daily in this list of Must Have Kitchen Gadgets.

Must Have Kitchen Gadgets

I have not been paid to post these and I have never worked with any of these companies, although I would if given the chance because they are fantastic!

KitchenAid Mixer – I have to start with my favorite kitchen gadget, of course it’s my KitchenAid Mixer. I love my mixer, I use it all of the time. One of my favorite features is that is a huge time saver! Unlike hand mixers wasting all of your time you can walk away and let the food mix while you prepare something else.

My favorite time saving attachment is the bread hook.   It kneads the dough so I don’t have to and it takes up an insanely smaller amount of space than a bread machine.

You can buy lots of extras to make this machine work overtime like the Ice Cream maker attachment , which is what I use when posting recipes like this dairy free, sugar free, SCD friendly Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe.  I think the biggest reason every household doesn’t have one of these is the price, they are pretty expensive.

I wanted one of years but was way too cheap to buy one. My husband bought this for me against my will at Christmas time after arguing with the people at Target and using ever coupon he could to try and get it at a reasonable price. Some luxuries shouldn’t be so out of reach but if you can save up and splurge one time, the convenience and love you have for this beautiful machine, in your favorite color, is worth every penny.

Waring Pro MBB1000 Inverted Blender-This blender blows me away every time I use it. It is by far the best blender I have ever used! I got annoyed with having to buy a new blender every few months at about $50 each. That old saying really rings true with kitchen appliances, you get what you pay for. My husband and I enjoy smoothies and even though there is a picture of a smoothie on the box of every blender I have ever purchased, they are terrible at making smoothies.

Making smoothies killed every blender I ever had!

Usually when making smoothies, we ended up with a bad smell, a lot of smoke, and chunks of frozen strawberries, Bon Appetit! This blender is the opposite, whenever I make a smoothie, I love to watch it in action. It laughs in the face of a frozen strawberry and completely destroys them in seconds, not 60 seconds or 30 seconds but in 3 seconds this thing shows frozen fruit who’s boss and I absolutely love it! This blender is going to cost more but in the long run replacing crappy blenders that only cost $30-$50 each, you will be saving money.

Presto Electric Griddle- This is the perfect way to cook a huge breakfast for your whole family without having to use all of your pots and pans for one meal. I fry the bacon and while the grease drains onto a paper plate, I can cook a ton of pancakes at once on the same surface. With a slide of the spatula you can drain the grease into the trap and not have a ton of dishes to do after breakfast. This is super affordable and worth every penny. Just be sure to take Tim Wilson’s advice and “Never fry bacon, without a shirt on”.

Breville Juice Fountain Plus– Although I have tried to work with this company in the past and they declined, I can’t deny that their juicer is great. I first heard about this particular model from the movie Fat,Sick, and Nearly Dead. It’s a great movie, if you haven’t seen it but are interested in the possibility of juicing for health, you should check it out.

I make a ton of healthy and delicious juices with this machine in minutes. It is far easier to clean than most other juicers on the market and it doesn’t waste the fruits and veggies you put into it. There is a more compact version that is a little cheaper and I would suggest it for those of us who have not been blessed with a ton of counter space or storage in our kitchens. In my last house the kitchen was the size of most bathrooms and this machine was just a little to big so check out the compact version here if you have less space.

Juicing is a great way to get in your daily servings of fruits and vegetables, especially if you have a kid that hates eating healthy. I usually don’t like the taste of mango but if you put it in the juicer with some pineapple and an orange, it’s my favorite drink.

Do you have one or all of these appliances, how do they rate in your kitchen?
