When I first met my husband he introduced me to the Star Wars™ movies and we have been enjoying them ever since. We recently had a marathon movie weekend where we watched every one of the Star Wars™ Movies leading up to the release of The Force Awakens.
The best way to enjoy any movie marathon but especially the Star Wars™ movies, is to create delicious desserts that the whole family can enjoy like these, Tatooine Tarts.

In preparation of our Star Wars™ movies marathon, I headed to Walmart to pick up all of the supplies I needed to make Tatooine Tarts. We also grabbed some Star Wars™ Go-Gurt to enjoy since the Star Wars™ Movies will be playing all weekend at our house, we needed lots of yummy snacks!

I headed to the cereal aisle and picked up a box of Star Wars™ Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal®.

I remember loving the toys in cereal boxes when I was a kid but these days it just isn’t as common. So when we seen that these toys were included, we grabbed a couple of boxes.
I couldn’t even put the groceries away before my daughter was reaching inside the box to grab her droid viewer.

Although the Star Wars™ Go-Gurt is a favorite snack, we were most excited about the glow in the dark packaging that allows us to have our own lightsaber battles.

Usually I wouldn’t encourage my daughter to play with her food but I initiated this battle and we had a lot of fun! I love sending her to school with a snack like this, I’m sure the kids have a bunch of fun in the lunchroom with these lightsabers.
Our newest favorite Star Wars™ snack are these Tatooine Tarts made with Star Wars™ Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal®.

What you will need:
1 Cup of Flour
2 Sticks of Room Temperature Butter
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Cup of Jelly
2 Cups of Star Wars™ Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal® (divided)
Cupcake tin with cupcake liners
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cupcake tin with paper cupcake liners.
Add the 2 cups of Star Wars™ Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal® to the blender and pulse until it is a fine powder.

In a mixer, combine the flour, butter, sugar, and all but 3 tablespoons of the ground Star Wars™ Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal®. Continue to mix until all ingredients are well combined and create a dough.

Add the dough to 12 cupcake liners pressing the sides to the liners and leaving a space in the center for the filling.

After each liner is filled and the oven is preheated, bake for 17-20 minutes.

Allow to cool for about a half an hour before removing from cupcake liners. Add to plate and fill each tart with jelly. Sprinkle the leftover cereal on top.

I hope your family enjoys these Tatooine Tarts as much as my family did! How are you preparing for the upcoming release? I would love to hear about it!
