Where You Can Stay to See All of Missouri’s Best Attractions

I received a complimentary stay at Best Western Plus Bolivar Hotel & Suites in order to facilitate my feature. All opinions are my own.

Take in the History

While traveling along the Mississippi River in northeast Missouri, we decided to make a stop at The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum. It was fun to see so many places come to life, that previously had only existed in my imagination. You can pose for a photo by Tom Sawyer’s fence and even use some props that are perfect for recreating some of your favorite Tom Sawyer scenes.

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum is located at 120 N Main St, Hannibal, MO 63401

Grab a Slider While You Can

This White Castle can be found in Columbia, Missouri although there are quite a few locations of the popular chain scattered throughout the area. Whether you have yet to try a slider or you haven’t had one in years, you have to hit up a White Castle when you get the chance. Unfortunately, this restaurant, credited as the country’s first fast-food hamburger chain, is becoming hard to find. So whenever we travel to an area with a White Castle, we always stop in for a few sliders and a milkshake.

The White Castle pictured here is located at 3401 Clark Ln, Columbia, MO 65202

Step Back in Time

While visiting Branson, Missouri we found several restaurants that were fifties themed. We decided to stop in and grab a burger at Cakes-n-Creams. The decor created a nice ambiance and the food specials were not only fairly priced but delicious, too.

Cakes-n-Creams 50’s Diner is located at 2805 West Hwy. 76 Branson, Missouri 65616

See the Sights

While in Branson, we enjoyed a lot of the attractions, and one of our favorites was the Branson Ferris Wheel. This 150 feet tall Ferris Wheel offers the entire family a great view of the whole city.

The Branson Ferris Wheel is located at 3335 W 76 Country Blvd, Branson, MO 65616

Where to Spend the Day

Take your family to see the largest immersive wildlife attraction in the world. Located in Springfield, Missouri, Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium has a lot to offer. After spending the day exploring the aquarium, I can see why Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium has been voted America’s Best Aquarium.

You can spend the entire day getting up close and personal with many wonders of the ocean by petting a stingray or diving with sharks. Visit freshwater fish or attend a penguin feeding while on your aquarium adventure.

You can feel safe taking the family because the museum is taking special precautions to ensure the safety of their guests such as making masks mandatory and taking each ticket holder’s temperature before entering the museum.

Wonders Of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium is located at 500 W Sunshine St, Springfield, MO 65807

What to See

If you enjoy shopping or enjoy I Love Lucy and everything Lucille Ball, as I do then you may want to stop into the World’s Largest Gift Store.

Inside you can find a large variety of unique gifts and collectibles from board games that you can’t find anywhere else to unique coffee mugs with your favorite characters.

Or you can skip by all of the merchandise and head over to the car once owned by Lucille Ball stored in the back right corner of the store. I found it quite odd that there weren’t any signs pointing out the relevance of this car in the store but I enjoyed not having to fight my way to the window for a peak.

World’s Largest Gift Store is located at 332 Pine St, Phillipsburg, MO 65722

Where to Stay

When planning a family trip to Missouri it can be hard to narrow down the places you want to visit. Lucky for those of us that want to see everything in one trip, there is a neutral location that makes a trip full of fun, possible. Staying at the Best Western Plus Bolivar Hotel & Suites in Bolivar, Missouri makes planning the rest of your trip simple.

The location is perfect for traveling all over and seeing everything in one trip, plus the hotel has everything you need to enjoy your stay.

With comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and linens, you are sure to get a good night of rest, to recharge you each day. The staff was careful when selecting my room, and even asked if I am a light sleeper to make sure I was put in the quietest area of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by their concern and efficiency when booking guests.

Whenever I needed an extra blanket or towel, the staff was very accommodating and they even offered up information about local attractions that my family may enjoy.

I especially enjoyed the artwork in our room and the movie channels offered on our television. It made for a relaxing evening after seeing all that Missouri had to offer each day.

I found a cozy spot in the corner of our hotel room to go over our plans for each day and went down to the business center to print off our maps an tickets to attractions we visited.

We thoroughly enjoyed the pool as well as the grab and go breakfast offered at this location. When traveling through the state of Missouri, this is where You Can Stay to See All of Missouri’s Best Attractions!
