I have loved pepper steak ever since I was a little kid, my grandmother always made it the best with red, yellow, and green peppers in a savory sauce.
Whenever she made pepper steak, I would watch her cut the bell peppers in amazement. She would clean out the seeds in just a few seconds, quickly getting the bell peppers ready to add to this dish. She could have easily run circles around most restaurants when it comes to cutting bell peppers.
This really intrigued me and over the years I have learned how to quickly julienne bell peppers the way my grandmother did. She taught me a lot about cooking and I am thrilled to share my low-carb version of her famous pepper steak stir fry recipe.

Ever since the last time my grandmother made me her delicious version of pepper steak, I have craved it regularly. I have tried to order this meal at many restaurants over the years but nothing has compared to her delicious pepper steak stir fry, until now.
After a few keto-friendly adjustments, this simple recipe is just as good and so easy to make as the one my grandmother used to serve me.

How Do You Make Pepper Steak Stir Fry?
This pepper steak recipe consists of sauteed bell peppers, a savory sauce with a delicious kick, and deliciously flavorful browned steak mixed together to create the perfect homemade stir fry.
To make this low-carb meal start by adding olive oil to a pan over high heat.

Slice the bell peppers and add them to the pan. Cook the bell peppers, stirring occasionally to ensure that each slice has been cooked evenly. Leave the heat set to high and add in the soy sauce, hot sauce, erythritol, ginger, and garlic.
Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring when needed while making sure the ingredients aren’t sticking to the pan.

Variations on this Pepper Steak Stir Fry Recipe
I have always preferred to use red, yellow, and green peppers to make pepper steak but on occasion, I have used just green peppers when those were easier to get my hands on. This will change the flavor as red and yellow peppers are typically more sweet than green but you may not notice a huge difference because this pepper steak sauce packs a lot of flavor into this dish.
You could also add an onion for an extra burst of flavor or pour some fresh mozzarella on top of the skillet for a deliciously gooey cheesy pepper steak.
