More Keto Wrap Ideas

Create a new keto lunch by switching out the main ingredient or just by simply adding some of your favorite ingredients while sticking to your weight loss plan.

Some great ideas for customizing this low-carb cheese wrap are below:

Use leftover chicken or cook up some fresh chicken breast to create keto chicken wraps instead of using beef.

Add in some crispy bacon for an easy chicken bacon wrap using low-carb tortillas.

Or swap out the keto tortilla wrap with fresh lettuce leaves to create chicken lettuce wraps.

Add a large egg for an extra runny breakfast wrap or sliced peppers and steak for a fajita burrito lettuce wrap.

For a crunchy lettuce wrap use romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, or butter lettuce. Swap out the roast beef with thick slices of ham, and add in some juicy tomatoes for a keto club lettuce wrap.

Tips for Using Lettuce Wraps

When making keto lettuce wraps keep in mind that lettuce can become too soft or even disintegrate when exposed to direct heat.

If you want to melt cheese in a lettuce wrap, it’s better to do so separately and then add it to the wrap once it’s melted.

The best thing to do is place the meat roast beef directly into a non-stick pan on medium heat, then add cheese to melt before adding to the lettuce leaves.

Use deli turkey, ranch dressing, and bacon to create a keto turkey bacon ranch wrap full of healthy fats with little meal prep time.

For veggie wraps, swap out the meat with fresh vegetables to create vegetarian-friendly keto sandwich wraps.

Swap out the low carb tortillas with almond flour tortillas, corn tortillas, gluten-free tortillas, keto flatbread, keto cheese wraps, flaxseed wraps, an egg wrap, or your own homemade tortillas.

Ingredients

This easy keto wrap recipe calls for sliced roast beef, provolone cheese, peppers, mozzarella, butter, cream cheese, onions, and low-carb wraps.

You can pick up low carb wraps from the grocery store and online or make your own keto wrap recipes if you are following a keto diet.

Although this is one of my favorite recipes because it’s so simple to just grab a wrap and cook it, in my opinion, the best way to make this recipe is to use premade wraps that contain just 4 g net carbs rather than making your own keto tortilla recipe.

But if you prefer to do it yourself, there are a lot of low carb wrap recipes online using keto tortilla dough that would work for this recipe.

I just like to keep all of my healthy recipes as easy as possible so making my own ball of dough for low carb recipes from coconut flour or almond meal isn’t something I am up for with this simple dish.

low carb tortilla in pan.

Instructions

Start this recipe by heating a skillet on medium heat, then add a buttered tortilla to the pan, buttered side down.

If your skillet tends to stick, coat it with a little olive oil before starting this recipe.

Place roast beef slices on top of the tortilla and then add provolone cheese, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, and any veggies you want to include in this recipe.

Place another buttered tortilla on top and then wait a minute or two for it to cook before flipping it for the first time.

The perfect way to make sure all of the small pieces of cream cheese are melted is to press down on the tortilla while cooking.

This will spread everything around and force the cheese together to create perfect melted cheese sandwich wraps in just minutes.

Once you flip the wrap for the first time, you’ll notice a delightful golden-brown crust starting to develop on the tortilla – a sign that it’s cooking perfectly.

Look for the same delicious coloring on the other side and take a peek inside to make sure all of the cheese has melted before removing it from the heat.

Slice the wrap into four sections and enjoy. Be sure to check the nutritional information in the recipe card for more information about this recipe.

Keto Wrap Ideas Storage Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container lined with parchment paper to keep it from sticking.

If using plastic wrap for storage, be sure to allow the roast beef melt to come down to room temperature before wrapping and storing.

Eat any leftovers within 2-3 days for best results.

Keto Wrap Ideas for Reducing Carbs

These simple keto wraps are a fantastic choice for those following a ketogenic diet, providing a quick and satisfying meal option. However, if you’re looking to further reduce the carb content, here are some tips to consider:

Limit Mozzarella: Mozzarella is a cheese that’s relatively low in carbs, but if you’re aiming for even fewer carbs, consider reducing the amount of mozzarella used in the wrap.

Omit Onions: Onions contain natural sugars and can add some carbs to your wrap. If you’re looking to cut down on carbs, consider omitting the diced onions from the recipe.

Omit Peppers: Peppers, although a flavorful addition, do contain some carbohydrates. If you’re focused on minimizing your carb intake, consider omitting the peppers from the recipe. This adjustment will help make your roast beef and cheese keto wrap even lower in carbs while maintaining the deliciousness of the original concept.

Reheating Tips

To reheat, simply place it back in a greased frying pan and heat up on low heat for a minute or two. Just long enough to get the ingredients hot but not cook the outsides even more as they will already be brown and crispy.

If you want to reheat this roast beef wrap or any of the keto wrap ideas in the microwave, simply place it on a microwave-safe plate.

To help maintain moisture and prevent the wrap from drying out, you can add a small cup of warm water in the microwave alongside the wrap.

This will keep your keto wrap fresh and delicious when you’re ready to enjoy it again.
