  • Next, carefully add your chopped veggies to the sizzling skillet, allowing them to sauté over high heat for approximately 5-6 minutes until they achieve a delightful tenderness.
  • Once your veggies have softened to perfection, it’s time to introduce the star of the dish: John Soule’s Beef Fajitas. Add the savory beef strips to the skillet and let them cook for approximately 2 minutes.
  • Now, it’s time to elevate the dish to new heights of creamy goodness. Incorporate a sumptuous dollop of cream cheese into the mix, along with your preferred seasonings. Stir diligently to ensure that each tender piece of beef is thoroughly coated with the rich cream cheese.
  • Allow the ingredients to harmonize over the heat for an additional 1-2 minutes, ensuring that all the flavors blend beautifully. As the aroma fills the air, generously sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the skillet, letting it melt into a gooey, irresistible topping.
  • This melting process typically takes around 2 minutes when the heat is set on high.
  • Once the cheese has achieved its luscious melted state, your dish is ready to serve, tantalizing taste buds and satisfying cravings with its mouthwatering combination of fresh vegetables, succulent beef, and creamy cheeses.

Variation Ideas:

Swap the Protein: You can easily change the protein in this keto Philly cheese steak skillet recipe by using John Soules Chicken or your favorite brand of pre-seasoned sliced chicken. Swap out the cheese for your favorite kind or add a variety of cheeses for a new flavor.

Cheese: This recipe is great with melted American cheese or a thick layer of Swiss cheese and provolone cheese. If you are following a clean keto diet, it may be best to shred your own cheese as many pre-shredded cheeses have added ingredients that may align better with dirty keto. For an extra creamy cheesesteak, add an entire block of cream cheese to the pan and melt before serving.
