Tips for Using An Air Fryer
My air fryer is a lifesaver for whipping up delicious low-carb dishes in a flash. It saves me precious time, keeps the kitchen cool, and makes cleanup a breeze!
After using my air fryer for more keto recipes than I can count, I’ve learned quite a few tips for getting the best results.
- Resist the urge to overcrowd the basket. Give your food ample breathing room to ensure even cooking and crispy results throughout, especially for meat– no more steamed steaks here!
- Don’t be shy about tossing or flipping your ingredients halfway through cooking. This simple step exposes all sides to the hot air for uniform crispiness.
- A light mist of coconut oil spray helps prevent sticking, especially for breaded items. Coconut oil offers a higher smoke point than some alternatives, but vegetable oil spray works in a pinch.
- For messy recipes, line the bottom of your basket with parchment paper or foil for a game-changing cleanup hack. Simply discard the liner after use, leaving you with a spotless air fryer ready for your next culinary adventure.

Air Fryer Biscuits Ingredients
Making these air fryer keto biscuits is a breeze, thanks to the easy-to-find ingredients. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Almond Flour: Opt for a finely sifted variety for the best texture.
- Baking Powder: Ensure it’s fresh to get the rise you’re looking for.
- Salt: Pink Himalayan salt adds a nice flavor, but any salt will do.
- Sour Cream: Adds moisture and richness to the biscuits.
- Eggs: Two large eggs bind the ingredients together.
- Butter: Essential for flavor and texture, use melted butter for richness.
Make the Biscuits
Using an air fryer is a breeze. Just add your ingredients, start the cooking process, and voila, perfectly cooked food every time. What’s even better? Clean-up is a cinch! My favorite aspect of these air fryer biscuits, besides their taste, is their versatility in shape.
While the dough may be slightly sticky, it’s effortless to handle, and you have complete control over the shape of your biscuits.
Line the bottom of the air fryer basket with parchment paper and drop spoonfuls of dough onto it. This method yields round, slightly misshapen biscuits that are equally delicious.
Alternatively, you can place the dough in greased cupcake liners or silicone molds. This results in taller, muffin-like biscuits, perfect for enhancing presentation, especially at dinner parties or holiday gatherings.
Whichever method you choose, rest assured that there’s no wrong way to make these biscuits. Experiment with different shapes and sizes to find what works best for you!

Keto Air Fryer Biscuits
These Keto Air Fryer Biscuits are the perfect low carb side dish. Easy, cheesy, and dense. Great for gluten-free and low-carb diets.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Almond flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
Instructions
Whisk together almond flour, baking powder, and a sprinkle of pink Himalayan salt in a large bowl. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese. Add in the eggs, melted butter, and sour cream.
Using a large fork or spoon (or even your hands!), gently combine everything until a slightly sticky batter forms. Prep your air fryer basket with a sheet of parchment paper.
Place your prepped batter portions, ensuring enough space for them to rise slightly.
Set the temperature to 400°F (204°C) and air fry for 7-9 minutes, depending on the size of your air fryer biscuits. Remove from the air fryer when they are golden brown and cooked through.
Notes
Add in your favorite biscuit flavors such as bacon or jalapeno. Use a different cheese or add in your favorite blend of herbs and spices.

These were delicious and super fast! I only got 6 (but large) biscuits. 4 in the first go and two the second round through the air fryer. I couldn’t the middles to cook all the way through, so I flipped them and cooked an additional 3-4 minutes. They came out a little flatter due to me flipping them but still beautiful and delicious. My kiddos and hubby devoured them. Thanks for such a quick and delicious recipe! Shared with friends and family who are also doing keto.
